Amelia Pritlowe avait 2 ans.<br \/>\u00c0 compter de ce jour, Mrs Pritlowe va se lancer dans une traque m\u00e9ticuleuse et acharn\u00e9e, pouss\u00e9e par le besoin vital de d\u00e9couvrir la v\u00e9ritable identit\u00e9 de Jack L&rsquo;\u00c9ventreur. Gr\u00e2ce aux archives d&rsquo;une pittoresque soci\u00e9t\u00e9 savante de riperristes , en confrontant t\u00e9moins et survivants, elle va reconstruire dans ses carnets les derni\u00e8res semaines de sa m\u00e8re et la sanglante carri\u00e8re de l&rsquo;\u00c9ventreur.<br \/>En d\u00e9cryptant des documents d&rsquo;\u00e9poque, Michel Moatti recompose l&rsquo;atmosph\u00e8re nocturne et angoissante de l&rsquo;East End du XIXe si\u00e8cle.
