Amr Fayek, born in cairo (b. 1992) is a photographer known for his sensitive documentation of urban life in Egypt. Self-taught and deeply attached to film photography, Fayek captures the poetry of everyday scenes — street vendors, light falling on walls, and fleeting human gestures that compose the rhythm of Cairo.

Through his lens, Fayek transforms the ordinary into lyrical fragments of memory. His photographs resist exotic or monumental representations of Egypt, instead revealing its subtle humanity and resilience.

Fayek embodies the present-past continuum of Egypt: his photographs show the city as lived, not relic. In the exhibition, his work offer the entrance into ‘the now’ of Egyptian culture — showing that history didn’t stop, it continues in everyday gestures and scenes.
