Curated by Mireille Guirguis, student at IESA Paris, Parallel Timelines brings together four contemporary Egyptian artists for the first time in Paris, a city long fascinated by Egypt’s ancient past. The exhibition reveals the depth and vitality of today’s Egyptian art scene: a market and a creative culture that goes far beyond its monuments. Through painting, photography, textile, sculpture, and installation, each artist shows how heritage is not fixed — it is alive, in continuous dialogue with the present, and perpetually reimagined.
